We make the comfort and well being of our patients our highest priority. That’s why our office invests in the latest technologies available, allowing us to provide thorough, modern dental services to our patients. Here are some of the most cutting-edge technologies we use:
I-Plus Water Laser
This revolutionary laser is a high-speed cutting tool that outperforms the traditional drill. A drill works with the use of heat and friction, but the water laser delivers precise portions of water and air. This eliminates the need for anesthetics because there is little pain or discomfort associated with the laser.
These lasers are ideal for creating precision cuts on soft tissue. They allow us to perform surgeries faster and more comfortably for our patients. Furthermore, they eliminate bleeding, minimize inflammation, and reduce bacteria at the point of impact. This allows for a faster healing time for patients than more traditional methods.
This hand-held laser is useful in detecting infections as early as possible. It works by using fluorescence technology to find cavities, or tooth decay, in a safe manner. This reduces the need to use a manual probe and the unnecessary removal of enamel. Its accuracy allows fillings to be simpler and shallower. Finding any tooth decay with the hand-held laser is much easier than going through multiple x-rays.
Digital radiology is beneficial over traditional x-rays because it exposes patients to less radiation—up to ninety percent less! This fact alone increases the quality of care our patients receive dramatically. It also offers convenience, with high-quality images ready to view on our computers almost instantly. Also, these digital images, unlike traditional paper files, can be sent instantly to other dental professionals if need be.
3D Digital X-Ray
This technology further enhances our ability to identify and diagnose infections or disease by giving a fuller picture not just of the teeth, but the jawline, bite, nerve endings and more. The high-resolution 3D images often reveal things that even 2D x-rays cannot. It reduces the need for educated guesses in our diagnosis.
Single-appointment crowns (CEREC)
Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), we are able to produce and insert tooth restorations in a single appointment. This could be anything from crowns, partial crowns, fillings or veneers. Based on intraoral camera photos, the CEREC software creates a virtual model of the tooth, which is then sent to a milling machine. After the ceramic crown is painted, polished and glazed, it is inserted immediately during the same appointment.
Nitrous Oxide is a safe sedative that can make fearful patients feel at ease. This will give you a more pleasant dental experience, and the effects will wear off shortly after the mask is removed. Fear of pain should not prevent you from visiting the dentist!
iTero Digital Scanner
Our digital scanner is another option for patients that don’t like impressions. The iTero precision scanner is used to take 3D digital scans, which eliminates the discomfort of impressions and re-impressions, shortens seating appointments by twenty-two percent and nearly eliminates return appointments. The real-time, high-impact visualizations the software provides help our patients better understand their teeth. Overall, the digital scanner makes impressions a quick and easy process.
All of these technologies go into creating a faster, more convenient and pleasant experience for our patients. We believe it is worth investing in our customer’s well being.
